It might sound a little unusual to have someone coach your breathing—after all, if you weren’t breathing, you wouldn’t be alive. Yet in today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to become disconnected from our center, and this has a direct impact on the way we breathe. After more than a decade of teaching and practicing pranayama and conscious connected breathing, I have witnessed consistently positive and often extraordinary results—mentally, physically, and spiritually. No matter where you are on your journey, we all experience moments of stress that can pull us into unconscious patterns. When this happens, our breathing changes instantly, activating the fight-or-flight response and releasing stress hormones throughout the body. Conscious Connected Breathwork has evolved from an earlier practice known as rebirthing, and both share a common foundation. In this practice, the breather maintains a continuous, rhythmic breath for 15–45 minutes. This steady breathing pattern can bring awareness to stored thoughts, feelings, and emotions. As the breath continues, it helps release these subconscious blockages from the body, shifts states of consciousness, and activates different brainwave patterns.
